ENHANCED AMBIENT LIGHTING
The ambient lighting in the 2022 F-150 turns on when the ignition and the headlamps are switched on and illuminates key areas of the vehicle’s interior and will remain on until the ignition is switched off or when the F-150 is locked or the accessory delay timer expires. The Ice Blue LED lights illuminate: Cup holders, door map pockets and release handles, front and rear footwells, and passenger-side instrument panel light bar.
STEP UP TO SYNC® 3
SYNC® 3 has a new touchscreen — plus available Apple CarPlay™, the compatibility with iPhone® via Siri® and more¹. Make calls, return missed calls and listen to voicemail, as well as send, read and reply to text messages, and even access your songs and playlists. 1. The 2022 F-150's body is made of high-strength, aluminum alloy, not household aluminum, but heat-treated and hardened aluminum alloy — the same high-grade 6000-series used in big industrial applications. This aluminum body not only makes the F-150 stronger but also lighter than the previous generation by 318 kg!
THE MOST POTENT ENGINE LINEUP EVER
Ford engineers work to make the 2022 F-150 pickup better every year and push the competition to try to keep up on the performance front. There are five engine choices, naturally aspirated and turbocharged, including the awesome High-Output 3.5L EcoBoost® in the Baja-bred F-150 Raptor. Auto Start-Stop Technology is on all engines, and more engines feature the segment-exclusive* 10-speed Automatic Transmission. Class is full-size pickups under 3,856kg. GVWR based on Ford segmentation.
3.3L Ti-VCT V6
With responsive power and capability,* the new 3.3L Ti-VCT V6 can handle the demands of everyday jobs. The twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) opens/closes the valves in precise duration to suit operating conditions, so power output is optimized at every point across the performance band. The 3.3L also has the Ford-first port fuel and direct-injection system (PFDI): two injectors per cylinder, one mounted in the air intake port and another positioned inside the cylinder. 6-speed Select-Shift® automatic transmission has three selectable modes to suit the driving condition: Normal, Tow-Haul, and Sport. 290 HP; 356 Nm of torque.
5.0L Ti-VCT V8
This legendary Ford V8 delivers even more muscle than ever, including best-in-class¹ payload. Experience robust 389 HP and 555 Nm of torque, thanks to twin independent variable cam timing (Ti-VCT) and new direct injection (DI). Ti-VCT optimizes performance across the entire power band to match driving conditions. DI injects gas at high pressure directly and precisely into each cylinder, extracting as much power as possible from every drop of fuel. The 5.0L offers a CNG/Propane Gaseous Engine Prep Package for conversion to compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane autogas.² 1. When properly equipped. Class is Full-Size Pickups under 3,856 kg. 3.5L TWIN TURBO ECOBOOST®
Unsatisfied with the high power ratings of their 3.5L EcoBoost®, Ford engineers designed the second generation of this potent EcoBoost® with even higher ratings of 365 HP and best-in-class* 578 Nm of torque, beating out all competitors in its class. This engine also delivers the 2022 F-150 max best-in-class¹ tow rating. Big improvements:
- Ford-first port fuel and direct injection (PFDI) with two injectors per cylinder, one in the air intake port and another inside the cylinder to improve power and efficiency.
- All-new twin turbos for greater on-demand power.
- A more responsible plus high-end-efficient 10-speed Transmission.
HIGH-OUTPUT 3.5L TWIN TURBO ECOBOOST®
The Baja-bred F-150 Raptor is perfectly at home on a typical paved road. But going from mild to wild on the most unforgiving terrain – now we’re in territory where the Raptor excels with its extraordinary capability, beginning with raw power. Unique to the Raptor is a twin-turbo, intercooled DOHC 24-valve, 3.5L EcoBoost® with port fuel and direct-injection system and 10-speed automatic. This High-Output EcoBoost® generates more power than the previous 6.2L V8 – a massive 416 HP and 678 Nm of torque.
F-150 EcoBoost® and V8 engines deliver their power through an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. Compared with the 6-speed gearbox it replaced, the 10-speed delivers improved overall performance, with enhanced acceleration at the low and mid ranges of the power band. Features include optimized wide-span gear spacing coupled with drag-reduction actions plus three overdrive gears. What’s more, you can choose from selectable modes: Normal, Tow-Haul, Deep Sand Mode, EcoSelect, and Sport.
HEAVY LOADS. SIMPLIFIED.
Never lose speed on steep grades, lock out upper gears with the progressive range select feature on the 6-speed SelectShift® automatic and all-new 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmissions. Both also feature tow/haul mode, for use when the truck is heavily loaded or when towing – which should be often with the 2022 F-150.
A SMART START
Auto Start-Stop Technology is a feature available on all 2022 F-150 engines. When you come to a stop, the engine shuts off to save fuel and restarts immediately when the brake is released. Designed smart for truck applications, Auto Start-Stop deactivates when it wouldn’t be needed such as when you’re towing a trailer or running in 4WD.
The Fully Boxed Frame is made of more high-strength steel (up to 78 percent at 70,000 psi) and larger cross sections than the previous frame. And while stronger and more rigid, this frame is also lighter by up to 27 kg. because many of the components are fabricated using the state-of-the-art roll-forming process that minimizes weight.
NEVER ROLL BACK
Standard in all F-150s, Hill Start Assist prevents roll back on a grade by momentarily maintaining brake pressure until the engine delivers enough torque to move the F-150.
SMART TOWING FEATURES
The 2022 F-150 offers standard trailer sway control with AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®). Plus optional features including:

- Class-exclusive¹ quad-beam LED headlamps – provide bright, efficient and long-lasting illumination.
- Class-exclusive* LED side-mirror spotlights – illuminate any task at hand from just about any angle after the sun has set.
- LED box lighting – helps you work at night and lets you see under a tonneau cover.
- LED trailer hitch light on tailgate handle – included with the trailer tow packages and helps with hitching up to a trailer at night.
SPACE, AND MORE SPACE.
A rugged, black fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene cage flips outward and extends over the tailgate to provide 46 cm of extra carrying space. The cage can also be flipped inside the bed, helping protect cargo from shifting.
